Duval3 “theEUROPEAN” are new-generation, high-tech pointe shoes made with a unique combination of modern materials for longer-lasting use.

Unlike many other brands, Duval pointe shoes do not lose their shape and support quickly, which gives the dancer an exceptional feeling of security and balance.

Designed in Paris by Franck Raoul-Duval and made specifically for the needs of European ballet companies. They are part of the prestigious “this is the Pointe!” collection, together with the Duval4 “theAMERICAN” and Duval5 “theENCORE”.

Duval3 “theEUROPEAN” stand out for their elegance and perfect proportions, built on a narrow, aerodynamic and refined box. DUVAL’s unique production technology extends the life of the shoe up to 3 times compared with traditionally made pointe shoes.

Main features and design:

Refined aesthetics: A stylish shoe with an avant-garde design, featuring a precisely made pleat-free front (non-pleating upper) for a flawless appearance.
Tapered shape: A style with a tapered box, ideal for an elegant silhouette of the foot.
Revolutionary one-piece construction: An integrated system in which the shank and box are moulded as one from DuPont™ Hytrel® thermoplastic elastomer. This increases the flexibility, strength and structural integrity of the shoe.
PORON® technology for protection: High-performance PORON® urethane foam is built into key areas, giving superior cushioning, absorbing shock on landing and insulating noise. Dancers enjoy greater comfort and protection without affecting fit or function.
Side tightening with elastic drawstrings: A design with side channels for the elastic drawstrings that allows quick, easy adjustment. This feature is especially valuable for dancers who need to fine-tune the fit of the shoe on the move.

All F.R. Duval® pointe shoes are handmade, so we advise treating them with special care. Always take your pointe shoes out of your bag straight after rehearsal and let them dry at room temperature, away from direct heat, to preserve the properties of the Hytrel® and PORON® materials. Spot-clean the satin only, with a slightly damp cloth and a mild detergent, and avoid getting the whole shoe wet. For maximum durability, use suede caps on the platform and alternate two pairs of pointe shoes so the structure can recover fully between sessions. MJdance and F.R. Duval® accept no liability for damage resulting from improper cleaning. Pointe shoes must not be washed! Proper care of our products is the buyer’s responsibility.
