Made for dancers looking for the perfect balance of flexibility, articulation of the foot and extra support, Classic Plus pointe shoes (also known as Wing Block or DV Wing) are one of the most popular choices for advanced students and professional ballerinas alike.

This style keeps the much-loved traditional silhouette of the Freed Classic but adds a reinforced block construction and extended stiffness along the side wings. This gives great lateral stability and stops the foot from rolling. The deep V-cut vamp sits closely over the metatarsal area, accentuating the beautiful arch of the foot.

Every pair is made entirely by hand in London using the traditional turn-shoe method by the makers at Freed of London, using only natural and biodegradable ingredients. The medium-strong 2.5 mm insole allows complete freedom in the transition from pointe to demi-pointe while supporting the Achilles tendon and the arch.

Reinforced side wings (Wing Block): The extra layer of paste/material in the side wings gives greater stability and balance.

Anatomical platform: A slightly angled platform that makes it easier and more natural to stand right on the centre of the pointe.
Cotton drawstring: Allows precise adjustment around the top edge for a perfect fit.

All Freed of London® pointe shoes are handmade, so we advise treating them with special care. Always take your pointe shoes out of your bag straight after rehearsal and let them dry at room temperature, away from direct heat, to preserve the properties of the materials. Spot-clean the satin only, with a slightly damp cloth and a mild detergent, and avoid getting the whole shoe wet. For maximum durability, use suede caps on the platform and alternate two pairs of pointe shoes so the structure can recover fully between sessions. Freed of London was founded by the shoemaker Frederick Freed in 1929 — working from a basement in Covent Garden, the same place where the flagship store stands today. Together with his wife, Mr Freed revolutionised the dance shoe industry by making shoes to the individual needs of each dancer for the first time. That philosophy remains at the heart of the brand to this day — every shoe is handmade in London.
